TRUST & PRIVACY
How TenantTale approaches transparency, participation, and long-term trust.
Trust comes from structure, not promises. These principles guide how TenantTale is designed.
Both renters and landlords contribute to reliability. No one-sided narratives, no anonymous reviews, no unverified claims. Every interaction requires mutual acknowledgment.
Users can understand what affects their score, how reliability builds over time, and why changes happen. No black boxes. Clarity is the foundation.
TenantTale is designed for both sides of the rental relationship. Fairness is structural — built into how scores work, how feedback flows, and how disputes are resolved.
No urgency-driven notifications, no manipulative patterns, no dark UX. TenantTale is built to be respectful of your time and attention — trust emerges through consistency, not pressure.
You have full control over your data. Export it, update it, or delete it — anytime.
Export a complete copy of your personal data at any time — in JSON or PDF format. Your profile, scores, connections, feedback, disputes, and activity history.
Update your profile information at any time. Manage your data processing preferences through in-app consent controls, in compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data. A 30-day grace period lets you cancel if you change your mind. After that, deletion is permanent.
Contact us about data processing concerns at any time. Optional processing like payment history, feedback, and matching can be toggled individually in the app.
Security is technical. Trust is intentional. We invest in both.
AES-256 encryption protects all stored personal data. Biometric data never leaves your device. Backups and logs are encrypted to the same standard.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS 1.3 — the latest transport layer security protocol. No data travels unprotected.
TenantTale is designed with FCRA, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA requirements in mind — from score history retention to consumer disclosure rights.
Role-based access controls limit who can view data internally. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0, and biometric verification never leaves your device.
We believe trust grows through transparency. If you have questions about how TenantTale works, how your data is handled, or anything else — we’re here.
