Trust goes both ways
Rental reliability both sides can trust.
TenantTale uses mutual verification and consent-based records to generate a 300–850 rental reliability score for renters and landlords.

Why trust breaks down in rentals
A traditional profile rarely reflects how responsibly you actually rent. Good tenants deserve a record that speaks for itself.
References and one-sided reports can be incomplete, inconsistent, or hard to verify. You need reliable data, not guesswork.
TenantTale creates a shared record with mutual verification, so both sides can move forward with confidence.
And when couples apply together? They’re screened as two strangers. There’s no way to show that you’ve been reliable renters as a household — even if you’ve shared a lease for years. TenantTale changes that.

What we believe about rental data
Mutual consent
No score is created unless both parties confirm the rental relationship. One-sided input doesn’t exist in this system.
Verified relationships only
Property ownership is verified before any connection can be established. This prevents fabricated histories.
Privacy by design
Renters control what’s visible. Income details, personal information, and score data are never shared without explicit permission.
No black boxes
Both parties can see what factors contribute to their scores. We don’t hide the basis for your rating behind proprietary walls.
Your TenantTale reliability score can be shared with a partner — like a spouse or co-applicant — so your entire household benefits. Credit reports and background checks are individually regulated and cannot be shared. Different data, different rules.
Your score. Your partner’s benefit.
Common questions
Is TenantTale a credit reporting agency?
No. TenantTale is not a credit bureau and does not report to Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. Our scores are based solely on verified rental relationship data contributed by both parties.
Who can see my score?
Only you can see your full score. You choose when and with whom to share it. TenantTale never shares your data without your explicit permission.
Can a landlord leave a bad score without my knowledge?
No. Both parties must confirm the rental relationship before any scoring begins. All input is mutual — one-sided reviews don't exist in this system.
Do landlords get scored too?
Yes. TenantTale is built for both sides. Landlords build their own reliability scores based on how they maintain properties and communicate with tenants.
Is TenantTale free?
TenantTale is currently in early development. Pricing details will be shared as the platform approaches launch. Our goal is to keep the core experience accessible for both renters and landlords.
Can I share my score with a partner?
Yes. Your TenantTale reliability score can be shared with a partner — like a spouse or co-applicant — so you both benefit on rental applications. This is possible because TenantTale scores are proprietary reliability signals, not credit reports. Credit reports and background checks obtained through TenantTale are individually regulated and cannot be shared. We always name which type of data is involved so the boundary stays clear.
